"Libertarian to challenge Barca for Assembly seat"
State Rep. Peter Barca, D-Kenosha, faces no Republican opposition this year, but he has a Nov. 2 election challenger. Political newcomer Daane Hoffman, a Libertarian, is seeking to unseat the veteran Democrat on a platform emphasizing the idea that government should stay out of the way when it comes to job creation and other issues.
Hoffman sums up his political objective in one sentence: “I will vote no on any bill that increases the size, cost, reach and power of the government.” |
